Possible Canada Post Service Disruption
In the event that Canada Post goes on strike, Alberta Benefits and its partner Canadian Benefit Providers are prepared to resolve delays to mailed claims and cheques.
How to make a claim
In the case of most pharmacy and dental services, claims and automatic payment can be made with your benefit card. If a paper or email claim is required, fill out our claim form and submit to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, claims can be dropped off at our Edmonton office or faxed.
How to receive payment for a paper or email claim
If you haven't already, sign-up for electronic fund transfer by filling out the EFT form here for submission to email@example.com . Until such time that the Canada Post strike is resolved, all payments will be made by EFT transfer. Cheques can also be picked-up at our offices in Edmonton.
Please note that our paper and email claims processing time is 5-8 business days.
